HB 4488PLC is a new variety from F.W. Rickard Seed. It is a late-maturing variety with a high yield potential and quality at least equal to other popular burley varieties. It has high resistance to race 0 black shank and medium resistance to race 1. Field observations indicate a moderately large plant with relatively heavy-bodied leaves and a spreading growth habit that is not as upright as “KT” varieties.
