Roundup Drift Damage

Roundup Drift Damage

As Roundup Ready crops increase, drift damage reports have become common.  Roundup may kill tobacco if the exposure is too great. Tobacco should not be planted next to Roundup Ready crops.

More commonly milder symptoms appear from non-directed spray drift. Note yellow or white spotting along secondary veins that almost highlight the vein.

A heavier drift may produce yellow blotches as in the picture above.  A more direct his may produce more severe symptoms (see photo below).
